ITS NEARLY SHOW TIME!
Well, preparations for the London Horse Show are well and truly underway at Chic Cheval HQ.
I have had a worrying week with delays on our Haas Brush order and was mighty relieved to see a very big lorry draw up this morning. Things did not seem too bad for me post Brexit with deliveries from the EU, but with manufacturing delays and shipping delays things have got more difficult lately.
However, I can now relax a little more and breath a sigh of relief. There is a huge amount of prep for these big shows. For Excel (London International Horse Show in new venue) we are given a storage area which is mega useful. So, all our stock gets labelled for either the stand or storage. The stand then gets topped up as we go along each day.
All the stock will be manually unloaded and taken to our stand, T145, at London, no mean feat if you have seen the size of the oak book case that we have converted to hold the brushes. It takes many hours to pack our lorry, and I am expecting a 5hour journey down to London. It will then take about 6 hours to set up.
Hard work, but exciting. I have never done anything on this scale before. Part of me is really looking forward to it and part of me wants to hide in a corner!
I will try and remember to put photos on Facebook when we are setting up so you can see the stand being built.
If you are going to London, please come and say 'Hello'
